Michael Kositsin of Ottawa Valley HoneyOttawa Valley Honey is one of the popular attractions at the Ottawa Farmers’ Market. Children and adults flock to this booth to study the section of beehive that is always a part of the display.

I had the opportunity to interview Michael Kositsin, one of the beekeepers, about his amazing honey bees.

I have bought his honey many times. The wildflower honey is amazing! My 2 little boys go crazy for it. With my buttermilk sweet potato biscuits and honey butter…it’s the best honey by far.

I have tasted honey from far and wide and nothing compares to Ottawa Valley Honey
The Basswood Honey is my true favorite!
as it is only available for short period during season i buy as much as possible at Farmers market

Michael,
I bought some honey from you last summer when I visited the market with my daughter. What I was wondering is if your honey is pasteurized? I did not note that on the label but am curius. Whether it is or isn’t I am still eating it, I am just curious. If it is, is it posible to also obtain it unpasteurized? Thanks.
