Great turnout at the Ottawa Podcast Meetup

The Ottawa Podcast Meetup was a great success, due in large part to a caravan of folks from Quebec (Montreal and Hull). We had a great time, gave away a copy of The Secrets of Podcasting by Bart Farkas, and three Canadian Podcast Buffet t-shirts.

There’s talk of a meetup in Montreal in late March and a large gathering in Kingston, ON in June.

Ottawa Podcast Meetup

The next Ottawa Podcast Meetup is taking place on Saturday, January 28 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Arrow and the Loon Pub (99 Fifth Avenue). Everyone is invited to attend including out-of-towners.

Please take a moment to register to attend so that we know how many people we are expecting.

Halifax meetup cancelled

I made a post a few days ago to invite podcasters and podcast listeners in the Halifax area to meet up with me on Sunday, November 13 (original post). The meetup has been cancelled due to a lack of interest.

Tod Maffin appearing at a town near you

Tod Maffin is touring the country, again, to meet with podcasters and podcast listeners. During the next two months he will visit ten cities seeking your counsel on what direction you think CBC should go in for its on-demand offerings. Oh yeah, he’s also open to talking geek and drinking beer.

Podcast meetup in Halifax, NS

I will be in Halifax later this month and would like to meet with fellow podcasters and podcast listeners from the area. The meetup will take place at the Delta Barrington in Halifax on Sunday, November 13 at 7pm.

PLEASE RSVP by November 10th. If I receive no acceptances by then, I will post a cancellation notice.
