I first read Ball Four in 1998. I bought it because I was a baseball fan. Unexpectedly, I enjoyed the book more for the personal reflections and how the events in the book seemed to trigger my own emotionally charged reactions. Jim Bouton’s story is an amazing one and I encourage you to read Ball Four and check out Jim’s website to learn more about his story.

The Ottawa Podcast Meetup was a great success, due in large part to a caravan of folks from Quebec (Montreal and Hull). We had a great time, gave away a copy of The Secrets of Podcasting by Bart Farkas, and three Canadian Podcast Buffet t-shirts.
There’s talk of a meetup in Montreal in late March and a large gathering in Kingston, ON in June.
The next Ottawa Podcast Meetup is taking place on Saturday, January 28 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Arrow and the Loon Pub (99 Fifth Avenue). Everyone is invited to attend including out-of-towners.
