Electric Sky joins Rogic Podcast Conglomerate
Podcasting, Posts

Monday, October 31, 2005 - 9:39 pm

I have officially joined the Rogic Podcast Conglomerate. You’re probably wondering what that means. Essentially, I have joined a group of podcasting friends who are committed to producing quality programs, and supporting each other in the process. Don’t let the word “conglomerate” mislead you. There is no money to be made (currently) in what we are doing and this is not a financial transaction. Podcasting is a labour of love and the Rogic group is a dedicated and talented one. It’s a priviledge to call these people my friends.

When we think of Patch Adams, we think of the movie starring Robin Williams. Very few of us know about the real Patch Adams and his story. I was fortunate enough to be granted an interview with Patch when he was in Ottawa to speak at the Holistic World Expo on October 22. Patch will be appearing at Holistic World Expo in Toronto (Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 17-19, 2006).

NOTE: This show contains two uncensored profanities.

CBCunplugged.com signs off
Locked Out Live

Tuesday, October 4, 2005 - 6:38 am

It was a bittersweet moment when I read Tod Maffin’s post, THE FINAL POST: And that’s it for me, on the cbcunplugged.com website this morning. That site took a life of its own during the CBC Lockout and evolved into an incredible community. On one hand it’s sad that that the site has now reached its end, and on the other its great to know that its no longer needed.

Thanks a million, Tod, for your dedication and leadership during the Lockout, and for your incredibly kind words about me. It was a priviledge to be able to help out.

CBC and CMG strike a deal
Locked Out Live

Monday, October 3, 2005 - 12:57 am

The CBC and CMG have finally struck a deal.

I think I speak for almost all of Canada when I say… “Congratulations! We can hardly wait for you guys to get back on the air.”

It will be interesting to see the analysis of the role played by blogs and podcasts in advocacy during this LOCKOUT.
